School Achievement Awards

This award is for "achieving better results in 2001 than most schools in similar circumstances." The 2003 award was for "achieving increased results over a five year period."
The Minister for Education said, "The hard work and dedication of teaching and support staff are crucial to a school's success. School Achievement Awards are intended to celebrate and reward these efforts."
This means that the school is regularly assessed by an accreditation team from the Training and Enterprise Council, to ensure that we meet the high standards demanded with regard to the training of all our staff and the development of the school.
The Director of Education for Bedfordshire visited the school to congratulate staff and children on receiving the Basic Skills Agency Quality Mark for Lower Schools.
This award is given to schools who satisfy an assessment panel on their high standards in teaching all their children the ability to read, write and to speak English and to use Mathematics effectively.
